New in my eyes are these ATM deposit from BPI which we can deposit anytime. Before I am using an envelop to deposit in their teller machine but now you can directly deposit the money without using an envelop. In a denomination of 100, 500 and 1,000 you can use these to deposit money directly to the ATM machine. I do not know if it is possible to deposit to different account though. You can also make a deposit on this machine without your ATM card. All you need to do is note down your account number and the JAI which are two numbers located mostly on the lower right corner of the card. With these information you can now deposit without your actual ATM card. Please bear in mind to double check all the information before pressing “OK”. This will save you from the hassle of mistakenly depositing the money on other account.
I choose BPI because of these feature that can do ATM deposit at night. They are the only bank I know that have ATM which we can deposit at night with ease. All other bank has only withdrawal feature and lack this one. Going to the bank and falling in line is a waste of time sometimes the line is very long that you have to wait for 30 minutes to one hour for your turn. With this ATM a few minutes of your some will do.
Foods for the mind: (from WiKi)
An automated teller machine or automatic teller machine (ATM, American, Australian, Singaporean, Indian, and Hiberno-English), also known as an automated banking machine (ABM, Canadian English), cash machine, cashpoint, cashline, or colloquially hole in the wall (Australian, British, South African, and Sri Lankan English), is an electronic telecommunications device that enables the customers of a financial institution to perform financial transactions without the need for a human cashier, clerk or bank teller.
On most modern ATMs, the customer is identified by inserting a plastic ATM card with a magnetic stripe or a plastic smart card with a chip that contains a unique card number and some security information such as an expiration date or CVVC (CVV). Authentication is provided by the customer entering a personal identification number (PIN).
Using an ATM, customers can access their bank deposit or credit accounts in order to make a variety of transactions such as cash withdrawals, check balances, or credit mobile phones. If the currency being withdrawn from the ATM is different from that in which the bank account is denominated the money will be converted at an official exchange rate. Thus, ATMs often provide the best possible exchange rates for foreign travellers, and are widely used for this purpose.
Here is an instruction on how to use it.
